American Dance Alliance (ADA) State Championship

2nd Place Trophy

FCDA State Competition

1st Place Championship in the Junior Co-Ed Hip Hop category

For the past three years the Hialeah Gardens Middle School Jaguar Dancers have traveled to Orlando, Florida and performed in front of a live audience at Disney's Performing Arts "Waterside" Stage.  They have also been invited and performed at Universal Studios during their STARS Performance program.  In addition, every year they have been selected to perform at the annual Superintendent's Dance Showcase, and also performed at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Community Stage.   The Dance Dept., under the direction of Ms. Alexandra Montesino, puts on various dance shows throughout the year, an annual talent show where students audition and perform various talents, and an annual Student Choreography showcase. They have competed at the American Dance Alliance (ADA) State Championship bringing home an overall 2nd Place Trophy.  But recently, they competed at the Florida Cheer & Dance Association (FCDA) State Competition and won the 1st Place Championship in the Junior Co-Ed Hip Hop category.  In addition, we had three soloists competing and they won 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place awards.  Throughout the year, the dance team  participates in numerous events and parades including the Veteran's Day Parade, Jose Marti Parade, fund raising events, and dance programs sponsored by our neighboring schools.  Yearly auditions are held, and the large number of students trying out continues to grow demonstrating the success and growth of this program.
