French I and II
As we all know learning a second language can offer many benefits to today’s students. It can help expand their understanding of the world in which they live, help to counter stereotypes and increase their future hiring potential.
At Hialeah Gardens Middle School we offer our students a two year program of Beginning and Advanced French that will count as a high school credit course. Nowadays, taking a foreign language course is a requirement for college admission.
Spanish I and II
Hialeah Gardens Middle School offers its Spanish for Spanish Speakers students the Spanish Club “Casa de la ñ”. The club enables students to reinforce their native language knowledge through a diversity of explorations, be it Spanish literature or traveling through the lands of legends, fables and myths. Casa de la ñ engages students in recreational and cultural to discover their talents in the areas of role playing, acting, oratorical reciting, composing, and singing and dancing. This multitude of activities motivates them to maintain the cultural roots and customs of their Hispanic countries of origin as well as share that knowledge with others including English speakers.
Through this year (2014-2015), the students of the Spanish class had been participated actively in different events: Cultural activities in the Assembly of Hispanic Heritage Month; and Hispanic parade; Cervantes Outstanding Students Essay Contest by Nova Southeastern University; the participation in the annual convention of the association of FLTDC (Foreign Language Teacher of Dade County). “Club de Libros” project, sponsoring by Univision channel 23 and the Division of Bilingual Education & World Languages of Dade County Public Schools; participation in the contents of poetry organized by the association of FLTDC. Additionally, Cervantes Awards sponsoring by Institute of Hispanic Culture of Miami and the Office of Education and Science of the Embassy of Spain.

Italian I and II
As more and more businesses are "going global" by opening offices throughout the world, knowledge of Italian is an increasingly important asset when applying for jobs. At Hialeah Gardens Middle School we offer our students a two year program of Beginning and Advanced Italian that will count as a high school credit course.
